Ode. : Uber die göttliche Fürschung und der von einem Heÿden, beÿ seines Schicksals Unzufriedenheit beschämte Christ. : London : autograph poems signed, 1753 Nov. 30.

Presentation copy of two odes dedicated to Augusta, Princess of Wales. Dedication ends with gratitude and thanks for an annual maintenance, and is signed as her most humble servant "unterthänigster Knecht," Vladislaus Gruninsky. Dedication is followed by two folios apparently excised, and the first ode, Uber die göttliche Fürschung, is apparently missing the first 2-3 stanzas. The second ode, "Der von einem Heyden, bey seines Schicksals Unzufriedenheit beschämte Christ," is the story of a Moor, who is poor but nevertheless happy about everything he has and sees the positive in all.
